On April 11, 2009, at approximately 10:30 p.m. deputies from the Foothills District responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping in the 9700 blk. of N. Thornydale Road. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, an adult female, who told deputies she was walking in the 9700 blk. of North Thornydale Road when she was confronted by a male subject who was driving a van and offered her a ride. She further advised when she refused, the male subject got out of the vehicle, approached her and grabbed her hair forcing her to the ground.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male with dark skin, possibly in his thirties with a crew style hair cut and was unshaven. She also described the suspect as having round, prescription type, silver wire framed glasses and a black mustache. The victim told deputies that the suspect was possibly approximately 6’0” tall, but she could not estimate a weight.
The victim has assisted the detectives with a composite drawing of the suspect. Anyone with information as to the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
