On January 1, 2009, at approximately 8:25 a.m., deputies from the San Xavier District responded to an armed robbery at the Crossroads Inn located at 4800 S. Butterfield Drive. Upon speaking with the manager, it was learned that a Hispanic or Native American female (suspect) entered the lobby area of the Crossroads Inn. He further stated that the female suspect pointed a black revolver at him and demanded all the money. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and left in a tan or gold colored four door sedan bearing an Arizona license plate.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American female, 20-30 years of age, 5’5” – 5’6” tall, with dark hair.
Video from the armed robbery shows a passenger vehicle pull up to the curb in front of the business. The suspect exits the front passenger door and walks into the front lobby. She is wearing a dark hooded jacket. The video is being offered to the public in an effort to identify the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
