On March 10, 2009, at approximately 11:35 a.m., deputies from the Green Valley District responded to the 15,700 blk. of West Arivaca Road, MP 6 in reference to a serious vehicle collision.  Upon arrival, they found an adult male deceased from his injuries.  According to witnesses at the scene, the victim and two other males were traveling eastbound on Arivaca Road on their motorcycles.  The victim lost control near Mile Post 6.  He missed a turn and hit a road sign.  The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.  According to Traffic Unit investigators, there are no apparent signs of alcohol involvement; however, speed is a possible factor. 

The deceased has been identified as seventy-one year old, Kurt W. Brosig from Edwards, Colorado.
