*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

March 12, 2009
On March 5, 2009, at approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies from the Foothills District responded to the 4700 blk. of N. Camino Aire Fresco for an attempted kidnapping.  Upon arrival, an adult female victim advised deputies that she was walking eastbound on the south River Walk with her dog when a male rode past her on a bicycle.  Approximately five minutes later, when she wasn’t looking, the same male came up behind her and grabbed her arms and tried to drag her westbound on the trail.  The victim fought the suspect with a dog leash.  The victim called for her pit bull that jumped on the suspect knocking him to the ground allowing the victim to get away.

The suspect is described as a fair skinned white male with black fuzzy hair, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, approximately 160 lbs., wearing a black or blue tee shirt and dark blue jeans with white tennis shoes.  He was possibly riding a mountain style bicycle.

A composite has been taken with the victim’s assistance.  That composite is being shared with the public in hopes that someone may recognize the identity of the suspect.  Anyone with information as to the identity of these suspects is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
