On December 4, 2008, at approximately 1:07am, Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a victim who had walked into the emergency room with gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was able to communicate with deputies that he was at his residence, in the 4100 block of East Market Street, with a friend when two males wearing ski masks forced entry into the residence. The victim advised that he believed his friend was possibly deceased inside the residence.
Deputies responded to the location and forced entry into the residence. They found an adult male deceased from obvious gunshot wounds.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded to further investigate. At this time, detectives are investigating the possibility of this incident being drug related.
Names are not being released at this time pending autopsy and for the safety of the surviving victim.
