The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has organized SHRED-A-THON events this summer to provide free document shredding and to promote awareness and education to the general public.

These events, held free of charge to private citizens (no businesses), will allow you to come by and have documents and papers destroyed.  This will prevent thieves from stealing them to use in their identity theft schemes. By shredding these personal documents, you will reduce the possibility of someone assuming your identity. AVID Company will provide a shredding truck at each event and will shred your documents while you wait. Raffle prizes will also be given away. Please call the Pima County Sheriff’s Dept. at 351-4615 for further information. Come join us in preventing Identity Theft.

August 9, 2008, Sat.   8:00 am-12:00 pm (noon), Safeway Store, 2940 W. Valencia Rd
