Homicide Suspect

On April 20, 2009, at approximately 11:10 p.m., deputies from the San Xavier District responded to a drive-by shooting at a car wash in the 2600 blk. of West Valencia Road.  Upon arrival, deputies found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both victims were transported by helicopter to local hospitals.  One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  He is identified as Francisco Antonio Calvillo (DOB 12/25/88).  The other victim was transported with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the surviving victim, he and Mr. Calvillo were at the car wash vacuuming Mr. Calvillo’s vehicle when a black Audi convertible pulled up.  A male subject got out of the vehicle and shot several rounds at the victims before getting back in his vehicle and fleeing in an unknown direction.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic or African American male with a dark complexion.  He was wearing dark clothing and had a bandana over his face and was wearing a ball cap.

Pima County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to further investigate.  At this time, detectives are seeking help from the public in identifying the suspect.  Anyone with information regarding the incident or the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
