Overview
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s Community Resources Unit provides a variety of services to the community. One of their primary functions is to educate the public about current law enforcement issues and prevention methods.
 
Members of the Community Resources Unit, along with the Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers, are available to provide information and speakers, and conduct classes on the following subjects:
 
• Personal Protection
• Home Security
• Terrorism Awareness
• Fraud Prevention
• Burglary/Robbery Prevention
• Firearm Safety
• Bicycle Safety
• Neighborhood Watch

To schedule or inquire on the availability of speakers, please contact the Community Resources Unit at (520) 351-4615. In addition to the many classes provided to the public, the Pima County Sheriff's Department also makes available various pamphlets dealing with crime prevention and safety issues. Some of the topics are: Auto Theft, Bullies in School, Elder Abuse, Home Security, Internet Safety, Nixle, and Sexual Assault. These pamphlets provide helpful information and tips on how you can make your home and family safer, and what you should do if you become a victim of crime.
